The initial consultation is very important, therefore the surgeon will need a complete medical history. Be ready to inform your surgeon if you suffer from any allergy, are taking any vitamins, medicines or if you smoke. You will be able to discuss your goals and expectations with the surgeon and whether any additional elective procedure is necessary. Your surgeon will explain the techniques and type of anesthesia he will use, the facility where the surgery will be performed, and the risks and costs involved.
